Since 2022, Scottish comedian Susan Calman has proudly taken the helm as the presenter of Channel 5’s popular ‘Cruising with…’ series. With three series under her belt, we wanted to take a look back at the impressive destinations Susan has been lucky enough to visit during her time on Cruising with Susan Calman.

The destinations on Cruising with Susan Calman

Cruising with Susan Calman: Series 1

Canary Islands

In the first episode of Cruising with Susan Calman series one, Susan set sail on a 12-night Canary Islands cruise aboard Regal PrincessEmbarking in Southampton, she sailed to the islands of Gran CanariaTenerife and Lanzarote before heading to Madeira and the Spanish port of Vigo in episode two.

Thanks to the year-round sunshine and scenic landscapes, the Canary Islands are a popular cruise destination. The seven main islands offer a plethora of sandy beaches, meaning relaxation is only a cruise away.

Cruising with Susan Calman: Series 2

Greece

In the third instalment of series 2 of Cruising with Susan Calman, Susan flies to Dubrovnik to embark on Marella Explorer 2. During her cruise, she visits Crete, to explore the historic town of Chania, then onto Athens and Corfu

In the last few years, Greece has witnessed a surge in holidaymakers fleeing to its turquoise shores. And with its mystical ancient history, charming white-stone buildings and stunning natural surroundings, it’s easy to see why.

Cruising with Susan Calman: Series 3

Antarctica

Episodes six and seven of series 3 of Cruising with Susan Calman saw Susan board the luxurious Scenic Eclipse in Ushuaia before embarking on an Antarctic cruise and passing through Drakes Passage. During her time on board, Susan got up close and personal with the local wildlife, spent time kayaking and even explored the icy waters below on a submarine excursion.

As one of the most exclusive cruise destinations in the world, Antarctica is the world’s coldest, driest and windiest continent. A land of mesmerising icebergs, towering glaciers and staggering expanses of pristine wilderness makes Antarctica one of Earth’s last frontiers.

ROL Cruise team member Gemma was on the same cruise as Susan and you can read about her experience here
