Let’s dig into Aurora’s mouthwatering dining options
Published on 09 Jan 2025
Welcoming only 1,910 passengers onboard, the adults-only Aurora is the smallest ship in the P&O Cruises fleet. Yes, she has fewer dining options than her fleetmates, but that doesn’t make her any less impressive. With firm P&O favourites in her repertoire, it’s no wonder Aurora is so popular.
Let’s dig into Aurora’s mouthwatering dining options:
Situated on Deck 6, Alexandria is one of Aurora’s main dining restaurants. Here, you can savour gourmet British and Mediterranean dishes. Alexandria Restaurant is a Club Dining option. Club Dining offers a fixed seating plan with two dining times: 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Each evening, you’ll have a reserved table with the same waiters and tablemates for the duration of your cruise.
At Medina Restaurant, you’ll find a variety of dishes, from British classics to international flavours. The classic menu, which features dishes like salmon fillets and sirloin steaks, is the same each day, but the a la carte menu changes daily. Freedom Dining is available at Medina Restaurant, allowing you to dine anytime between 6:00 pm and 9:30 pm without a reservation.
The spacious, elegant and relaxed Horizon Restaurant on Deck 12 is a one-stop shop for all things tasty. In this self-service restaurant, you’ll find plenty of choices, with food from home and food from around the world available to suit every appetite and dietary need. Whatever you fancy, whatever the time of day, Horizon Restaurant will have it.
Lounging by the pool can be hungry work. Luckily, Lido Grill is handily located poolside and offers plenty of tasty snacks. At this casual dining spot, you can enjoy a variety of grilled foods, such as burgers and hot dogs. Its relaxed setting makes it a great option for grabbing a quick and tasty meal while on the go.
Showcasing a menu of perfectly balanced spices, delicate flavours and wonderful aromas, Sindhu on Deck 8 blends contemporary Indian fusion food with a British twist. In opulent surroundings, expert chefs take you on a delicately spiced odyssey with an excellent and varied menu.
The Glass House, led by award-winning wine expert Olly Smith and Local Food Hero José Pizarro, is a great spot for enjoying Mediterranean tapas, hearty main dishes and delicious desserts. Olly’s wine recommendations help you find the perfect pairings for your meal without any hassle.
The Beach House on Deck 12 is a relaxed dining venue that offers a laidback, casual atmosphere with a focus on American-inspired dishes. Here, you can enjoy a variety of comfort foods, including burgers, ribs and seafood. The Beach House transforms from a buffet area during the day to a cosy dining space in the evening, perfect for a laid-back meal.
