Discover Spirit of Adventure’s fantastic range of restaurants
Published on 17 Feb 2025
Spirit of Adventure first took to the seas as the sister ship to Spirit of Discovery and the second ship in the Saga Ocean Cruises fleet in 2021. Welcoming only 999 passengers onboard, she is much-loved for her intimate yet spacious ambience. She boasts a fantastic range of restaurants, from the Nepalese-inspired Khukuri House to The Supper Club, a multi-faceted venue that combines great entertainment with even better food. As an all-inclusive luxury cruise line, dining is included in your cruise fare - just make sure to reserve a table in the free-to-dine speciality restaurants (which have been handily marked with a ✨) ahead of time.
The Dining Room is Spirit of Adventure’s main dining room, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of your voyage. The ever-changing menu offers the very finest in both British and international cuisine, cooked to the highest standard by a team of expert chefs. Local ingredients are freshly sourced from the ports you visit to create dishes like Gressingham Duck Leg Confit and Parmesan-Crusted Rosé Veal.
As the name suggests, the speciality restaurant Amalfi offers delicious high-end Italian cuisine. On the mouth-watering menu of Mediterranean dishes, you can expect fresh pasta like Beef Pappardelle and oven-baked dishes like Lasagne al Forno alla Bolognese alongside traditional desserts like Tiramisù and Cannoli. Amalfi’s menu utilises locally sourced ingredients purchased in port that day, each given an Italian twist.
Inspired by the Ghurka heritage in Saga Ocean Cruises hometown of Folkestone, Khukuri House features dishes with a combination of flavours and cooking styles from Nepal. From the menu, you can choose from a vast range of starters like Tandoori Momos and Kasoori Murg Tikka before moving onto a main of Jhing Shimla Mirch Masala or Nalli Gosht. You can then end with something sweet, like Mango and Coconut Kulfil or Gajrela Cake.
The Supper Club is a multi-faceted venue on Spirit of Adventure, where you can stop by for pre-dinner drinks or book a table for dinner and stay a little longer. Enjoy live music and delicious cocktails at the cabaret-style evening events, which are accompanied by a menu of delicious dishes like Retro Prawn Cocktail, Prime New York Strip Steak and Knickerbocker Glory Sundae. At The Supper Club, you’ll enjoy a mix of international dining, entertainment and dancing.
The Grill offers a more relaxed and sociable dining experience than anywhere else onboard. Here, you can indulge in the same dinner menu as The Dining Room on formal evenings or stop by for a sumptuous buffet breakfast and bespoke lunchtime menu - there’s even a sandwich station! The adjoining Verandah is the perfect spot to dine alfresco and enjoy the same menu choices accompanied by beautiful ocean views.
