Top tips for your first fly-cruise

Fly the day before your cruise

“My number one piece of fly-cruise advice would be to fly the day before your cruise so that you don’t risk missing your flight,” Jenni from Cruise Mummy told us. And we couldn’t agree more! Would could be worse than flying all the way to your chosen destination only to miss your flight or even your cruise? Jenni also recommends booking your fly cruise as a package, which is something we at ROL Cruise can help with, “I’d say book it as a package so that if your cruise gets cancelled you won’t get stuck with the flights.”

Don’t pick a fly-cruise based on one destination

“Do not be seduced by the itinerary of a cruise that only features one place you’d like to visit,” explains #BritsOnBoard. Let’s use Venice as an example. Say you choose a cruise that features Venice, only to find that your flight in will mean no time to explore as you are transferred from the airport to cruise port. “The cruise might be more memorable if you arrange a cheap flight the day before, some budget accommodation and give yourself that day and part of the next day to enjoy the city before joining the ship,” #BritsOnBoard recommends.

Extend your holiday with a cruise and stay package

Fly cruises are easily customisable, you can tailor your trip to suit your needs by flying out sooner and giving yourself a few more days to explore your chosen destination or extending your holiday to take advantage of the adventures that await. Our extensive range of cruise and stay holidays will make the fun last for longer.
