Seabourn Pursuit, the newest expedition ship
Published on 13 Dec 2021
Seabourn has announced the newest ultra-luxury expedition ship, Seabourn Pursuit, which will be joining its fleet in October 2023.
Seabourn Pursuit will be the sister ship to Seabourn Venture who is due to join the fleet in March 2022.
A purpose-built, ultra-luxury expedition ship, Seabourn Pursuit will be designed to sail in the remotest regions of the world, traversing vast landscapes and enabling wildlife spotting, facilitating the ultimate bucket list experiences. Josh Leibowitz, President of Seabourn, said, “Seabourn Pursuit will navigate the most unexplored parts of the world in the highest level of comfort, safety and environmental protection available for the luxury traveller. We are defining an entirely new category of expedition travel with Seabourn Pursuit and its sister ship, Seabourn Venture.”
Seabourn Pursuit will begin her first season of exploration in the north. Her maiden voyage which is scheduled for April 2023, will be Fire and Ice, a roundtrip of Iceland beginning in Reykjavik. Other voyages planned consist of Norway and Greenland, with the Northwest Passage as the highlight of Seabourn Pursuit's maiden season.
Designed for diverse environments to PC6 Polar Class standards, Seabourn Pursuit and Seabourn Venture will include modern technology, consisting of two custom-built submarines, zodiacs, kayaks and an expert expedition team to engage and educate throughout the voyage. These all-inclusive, luxurious ships will pave the way for modern expeditions and we cannot wait to welcome them.
