An array of Coronation-themed events and entertainment are on tap aboard two Princess Cruises ships based in the UK to celebrate the crowning of King Charles III. Guests aboard Sky Princess and Regal Princess, both sailing out of Southampton, will enjoy a host of activities designed to celebrate King Charles’ ascension to the throne.
Aboard both ships on Saturday the 6th of May 2023, live coverage of the Coronation Service at Westminster and the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle will be shown on the 300-square-foot Movies Under the Stars jumbotron and the Biggest Street Party will be replicated on the top deck.
A Royal Afternoon Tea will be served onboard both ships, complete with British favourites such as Victoria sponge cake. Pimms and strawberries will be served on the top deck and favourite British fare such as fish and chips, sausage rolls and trifles will be available in World Fresh Marketplace.
Talks from guest speaker Grant Harrold, a former British Royal Household member and leading etiquette expert, royal commentator and broadcaster, will take place onboard Regal Princess and Sky Princess.
In addition, the Piazza onboard both ships will be decorated for the occasion using banners and buntings in Royal colours and guests will be encouraged to wear the Royal red, white and blue for a special dress-up night.
