Try something different in 2022

Published on 29 Dec 2021

With a new year fast approaching, could it be time for you to try something different? Cruising offers a fantastic way to see the world, here are 6 reasons you should take a cruise in 2022:

A convenient way to see the world

Most cruise lines now sail from a range of ports in the UK so it’s easy to travel to and from your joining port. If you choose to take a fly cruise, the cruise line can arrange flights, baggage handling and transfers to and from the ship. We can always help with car parking, chauffeur transport from your home and whatever else you need to make your holiday planning as easy as possible.

Choice, choice and more choice

There are tens of thousands of cruise deals to choose from as well as a wide variety of cruise lines and cruise ships to suit all tastes and requirements. From the small, intimate boutique ships carrying just a couple of hundred people to the larger ships that hold up to 6,000 passengers, the choice is yours. If you’re unsure about what type of cruise would suit you, we’re always happy to give you some advice.

Fantastic value for money

Sailing away has never been more affordable. Your cruise package includes accommodation, meals on board, entertainment, activities and social functions, use of all ship facilities plus flights and transfers where applicable. Extras include any optional spa treatments, onboard purchases (such as drinks), travel to and from the port (for UK departures), optional shore excursions and tours.

Great food and even better service

Cruises are well-known for their delicious food. With award-winning and celebrity chefs alike, as well as a selection of top restaurants on board, the food has a well-deserved reputation. From ‘round-the-clock’ buffets and anytime dining to elegant dining halls and even dining under the stars, cruises have it all on the menu. There’s usually an option to indulge in traditional dining too, with fixed sittings (often around 6.30 pm or 8.30 pm). The choice is always yours.

What’s more, whilst on board you can expect a nightly turn-down service and chocolates on your pillow as well as expert staff who will greet you with a smile and attend to your every need. Staff on board are always delighted to help but are never intrusive. Expect to be treated like royalty.

New discoveries await

On a cruise, you can see new places and unpack only once. Your chosen cruise ship will seamlessly float from place to place, allowing you to see many points of interest on a single trip. The arranged excursions mean you can make the most of the destinations you visit and add to the experience. Just one cruise will leave you feeling like an experienced traveller.

The chance to meet new people

Dining aboard a cruise is a flexible affair, which means dinnertime is great for meeting new people. Some cruise lines still offer traditional dining where your party is assigned to a specific table at a specific time every night. Unless your party takes up an entire table, you’ll likely join other passengers. Many friendships blossom this way, with cruise-goers enjoying the company of their fellow travellers, sharing stories and experiences. However, if you prefer to keep yourself to yourself, private dining is available too.
