Staff stories: Danube Delights with Emerald Cruises

Earlier this month, ROL Cruise team member Donna embarked on her first-ever river cruise with Emerald Cruises. Onboard Emerald Star, she sailed from Munich to Vienna on the Danube Delights itinerary. Here, she shares her experience: 

Emerald Star was a perfect blend of comfort and space and she never felt crowded. She offered a luxury experience. 

We were lucky enough to have stayed in a Panorama Balcony Suite to experience an inside/outside feel while sailing. There was lots of storage space and great beds. 

It was great to have a choice of biking and walking tours that allow you to see both the history and culture of each destination. 

The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and gave you just the right amount of time to fully enjoy the time off the ship. 

The food and restaurants were outstanding! There was a huge selection on each sitting with incredible service always. 

The menu changed daily and the choice of food was sensational. Everyone came together to eat at the same time, so we made lots of friends from all over the world. 

Every evening, all guests gathered to be advised of the schedule of the following day's activities. So we were always kept informed throughout our cruise.

During our stay, we were lucky enough to see a traditional Bavarian band, take part in a number of quizzes and see a cabaret to keep us entertained.

I would highly recommend a cruise aboard Emerald Star.
