After a pleasant night’s sleep, I was looking forward to a delicious breakfast. I had plenty of options; the buffet in La Terazza, an a la carte menu at Atlantide or 24-hour in-suite dining. I headed to the buffet which offered a range of hot foods, bread, pastries, cereal and fresh fruit as well as pancakes, omelettes and eggs to order. It was sumptuous and the perfect start to the day.
With so many areas to explore, I didn’t want to miss a thing so joined an organised tour of Silver Muse. There are public areas across eight decks including restaurants, bars, a show lounge, spa, swimming pool and much more. I was surprised by how spacious the ship was - no area was ever crowded.
I would highly recommend a trip to Kaiseik for lunch where you can enjoy complimentary sushi. If you like tapas, then Silver Note is for you - serving a range of dishes and drinks to the background of live jazz musicians, it’s the ideal place to spend the evening.
The swimming pool on Deck 10 looked so inviting. It offers a fantastic place to cool off during a day of sunbathing or relaxing on the plentiful loungers. Here, you’ll find attentive staff ready to bring you your favourite drink whilst you soak up the sun. If you get peckish then the outdoor grill is ideal for savouring a delicious lunch while enjoying the fresh sea air. An alternative quiet spot is Tor’s Observation Library. Located at the front of the ship, the large windows provide stunning panoramic views as you sail. This was one of my favourite spots on Silver Muse.
Speaking of favourites, I loved the Arts Cafe. Similar to a high street coffee shop, the Arts Cafe serves a range of hot drinks, healthy fruit smoothies, cakes and other nibbles. I imagine it’s very easy to drift away in here for a few hours while curled up with a good book.
After a morning of exploring, it was time for lunch. As it was such a beautiful day, I dined alfresco at The Grill. I thoroughly enjoyed a burger and a sundae (which was far too tempting to resist!)
At night, The Grill transforms into Hot Rocks, a unique dining experience that invites guests to cook their food directly at their table on a lava stone volcanic rock. You can place your meat, fish or vegetables on top of the grill stone and cook it just the way you like it.
During the afternoon, there was a range of entertainment including games with the Cruise Director, live music and culinary demonstrations. I chose to head to Zagara Spa, however, for a heavenly massage. The spa truly is divine; it has a large number of treatment rooms, a steam room, sauna, whirlpool, a relaxation area and a gym. I highly recommend the Muse Freestyle treatment which is Silversea’s take on the classic Swedish massage - the perfect way to unwind.
After my treatment, I headed back to my Deluxe Veranda Suite to make the most of the luxurious amenities. The veranda was so spacious, I almost regretted not opting for in-suite dining at breakfast - it would have been the perfect setting! Even more perfect was the plush bed, with fine Pratesi linens and a pillow menu, it was incredibly inviting and enabled me to have a very good night’s sleep.
My suite had two televisions, elegantly positioned in the sitting area and by the bed. The interactive media library offers a range of TV channels and movies so you can spend some time just relaxing in opulent surroundings.
Before dinner, I headed to the Panorama Lounge which is a lovely spot for a pre or post-dinner cocktail alongside live music. Located at the aft, this contemporary and spacious area even has an outdoor terrace which is a flawless place to watch the sunset over drinks. My drink of choice was a Cosmopolitan which was made to perfection.
I chose to dine in Atlantide, Silver Muse’s seafood and grill restaurant. With five courses to choose from, I was spoilt for choice. I opted for the Argentine steak which was the best I have ever had! I highly recommend a visit here for lunch or dinner so you can enjoy the range of cuisine - deciding what to order was the hardest part of my day.
After dinner, I took myself off to the Venetian Lounge which hosts the evening entertainment. Expect to see live singers, Broadway-style shows and The Voices of Silversea. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Argento, in which The Voices of Silversea performed tunes of the great bandleaders such as Benny Goodman and the foot-tapping sounds of Louis Prima.
My day of ultra-luxury had come to an end and it was time to retire to my beautiful suite. Silver Muse offers the epitome of luxury and those sailing on her maid season will not be disappointed.
