Having worked with Regent Seven Seas Cruises for many years, we were honoured to have been invited to an exclusive preview of Seven Seas Grandeur as she sets off on her inaugural season. As the newest ship to join The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet™, our expectations were exceptionally high prior to embarkation - and she certainly didn’t disappoint!
The epitome of luxury travel, no area on Seven Seas Grandeur has been overlooked. Every aspect has been carefully thought out, meticulously detailed and luxuriously appointed - she really is a work of art and most certainly showcases Regent Seven Seas Cruises' 30 years of experience.
We entered into the Atrium which is bright and modern, with a grand staircase, fine marble accents and a breathtaking crystal chandelier. It’s all in the detail - everywhere you look, you can see the art collection has been meticulously selected, many pieces of which have been commissioned specifically for Seven Seas Grandeur. The colour schemes cleverly create a relaxed ambience, with acres of space - it really is ‘Unrivalled Space at Sea.’
We were very lucky to be appointed Suite 921 - a Grandeur Suite. Grandeur Suites are one of the Distinctive Suites in the Regent Seven Seas Cruises experience, vast, at over 76 square metres, they are beautifully appointed with a walk-in wardrobe, full bath and rain shower, twin sinks, a spectacular balcony complete with comfortable sun loungers and sofas, a full six-seater dining table and, best of all, our own personal butler! Luxurious features abound, including stunning art features, beautiful marble accents and thoughtful touches such as the luxurious bathroom amenities, fluffy bathrobes, binoculars, a fully stocked mini-fridge and a coffee machine (to start our day off in the best way!)
Our butler, Prakash, welcomed us into our suite with a chilled glass of Champagne and made sure that we were well looked after. Butlers take care of all the finer details, elevating your experience even further. From serving pre-dinner canapes to serving you breakfast in your suite (if you wish to do so). The Distinctive Suite experience really does off an elevated, unrivalled experience.
Whilst onboard, we were delighted to meet Vice President of Culinary Operations, Bernhard Klotz. Along with his incredibly talented team, whose passion for the dishes served in each speciality dining venue is second to none. Our favourite venue was Prime 7, a steak and seafood restaurant with motifs inspired by luxury rail travel. The menu is extensive and indulgent - we tried the prime rib of beef and the filet mignon accompanied by velvety sauces and delicious side dishes - bon appetite, indeed!
