Seabourn Venture, designed for discovery
Everything on board Seabourn Venture has been designed for discovery - public areas debut an ultra-luxury expedition aesthetic. The Expedition Lounge is the heart of Seabourn Venture, where you’ll gather with likeminded explorers before and after your adventures. With two large touchscreen displays providing a wealth of information, you can view photos, navigational charts, weather charts and even maps. The Discovery Center, just forward of the Expedition Lounge, offers enrichment, enhancement and entertainment and centres on an immersive high-definition video screen for lectures and broadcast documentaries.
The two Landing Zones (port and starboard side), provide a place for you to embark on and return from your off-ship expedition activities. There are several uses for these zones including final clothing and gear checks, donning and shedding boots, lifejackets, snorkelling gear, cleaning and storage facilities. You’ll move in small groups from the Expedition Lounge to the Landing Zones to maximise your time ashore and once prepared, you’re escorted by staff to the weather-level shell doors allowing you to step directly from the ship into Zodiacs and kayaks.
The Atrium, which retains the familiar Seabourn design feature of a continuous airy, sky-lit central staircase as a focal point, unites all guest decks and offers easy access to the variety of public spaces on the ship.
The knowledgeable Expedition Team are part of the Seabourn Conversations programme, providing expert insights into the history, ecology and culture of the places visited as well as guest experts from the fields of arts, history, science and more.
Expedition enhancements
An array of shore excursions are available on board Seabourn Venture – kayak and submarine experiences, zodiac landings and select expedition experiences, such as snorkelling and scuba diving in warm destinations, ebikes and mountain bikes. On polar region sailings, you’ll receive a complimentary Seabourn expedition-grade parka and day-pack and the ship will carry a supply of insulated BOGS winter boots for guests use during wet landings for the duration of the voyage.
On some itineraries you’ll fly into a designated city where a hotel overnight and charter air to the embarkation port the next day will be included. Similarly, some itineraries will include a charter air flight at the end of the voyage from the disembarkation port to a city where air is more readily available.
