Terms and Conditions
All ROL Cruise customers are eligible to earn, redeem, and/or receive gifted Cruise Miles as part of the Cruise Miles scheme and agree to be bound by the provisions set out below. If you do not agree to be bound in this way, you may contact us to have your details removed from our database. We may modify these provisions at any time. Any such modifications are effective immediately from the time they are included on our website. You agree to review these provisions regularly to ensure you become aware of any modifications to them and by continuing to access or use the Cruise Miles scheme you agree to be bound by the revised terms and conditions.
There will be other terms and conditions which govern the booking of any cruise, including those of third-party providers.
Glossary of terms
“you or member” means any member of the Cruise Miles® scheme.
“we, us or our” means Readers Offers Limited, trading as ROL Cruise.
“Cruise Mile or Cruise Miles” relates to the points earned, gifted, and/or redeemed under the Cruise Miles® scheme.
1.1 All ROL Cruise customers aged 18 and over will automatically become a Cruise Miles member.
1.2 Gifted Cruise Miles for new ROL Cruise customers will be gifted according to the value on offer at the time of registration and will be clearly stated.
1.3 When a minor turns 18, they will automatically become Cruise Miles members and will be gifted an introductory Cruise Miles award.
1.4 You can register as a new ROL Cruise customer by completing the registration form on our website or by telephone and providing the required information.
1.5 You will be assigned your own individual Cruise Miles account and will begin earning Cruise Miles from the start date of your membership.
1.6 As a new ROL Cruise customer, if you have opted to receive marketing or Cruise Miles communications, you will receive a welcome email and/or a Welcome Pack in the post, depending on your specific marketing method.
1.7 We may send you statements and specific communications relating to your Cruise Miles account. If you do not wish to receive information from us regarding your Cruise Miles account you may opt out of these communications at any time. Your request to opt-out must be received by us directly from you either by contacting our Customer Services department on 0800 121 6191 or by email to customerservices@rolcruise.co.uk or in writing to Customer Services, ROL Cruise, Lexden House, London Road, Colchester, Essex CO3 4DB.
1.8 It is your responsibility to keep us informed of any changes to your contact details or circumstances that could affect your Cruise Miles membership.
1.9 ROL Cruise reserves the right to refuse membership.
1.10 Only one Cruise Miles membership is allowed per ROL Cruise customer.
1.11 If you have been inactive as a ROL Cruise customer for some time, we may contact you to inform you that your Cruise Miles will be lost and your information removed from our database in accordance with The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1.12 If we are informed that a Cruise Miles member has died, all Cruise Miles will be lost and the customer’s information removed from our database.
1.13 We remain the owner of all Cruise Miles and they remain our property at all times.
2.1 Cruise Miles are earned as follows: 1 Cruise Mile per £1 spent with us for any new booking made after the start of the membership, unless otherwise stated in a promotion.
2.2 Cruise Miles earned on a new booking will be distributed evenly between all named adults on the booking.
2.3 Cruise Miles gifted by us as a booking incentive will be distributed evenly between all named adults on the booking for which they were gifted.
2.4 If additional passengers are added to an existing booking at a later date, the original Cruise Miles earned will be recalculated and distributed evenly between all named adults on the booking.
2.5 Cruises booked on board will earn Cruise Miles once the cruise booking has been officially logged as a booking on our system.
2.6 Where any amendments are made to a booking that affect the cost of the booking, the Cruise Miles value will be adjusted accordingly.
2.7 Cruise Miles are non-transferable.
3.1 Cruise Miles redemption value is 1p per Cruise Mile. There is no cash alternative.
3.2 Cruise Miles can only be redeemed against a new qualifying booking made through us with one of our preferred partners. There may be instances where our partners do not allow us to use Cruise Miles for your bookings. You will be notified of this in advance.
3.3 For bookings made with non-preferred partners Cruise Miles can be earned but not redeemed. Non-qualifying bookings are any other bookings, including (without limitation) day trips, special events, previously booked cruises, or bookings made with non-preferred partners. Other items may be excluded from the scheme at any time at our sole discretion and will be notified to you from time to time.
3.4 Cruise Miles cannot be redeemed on a booking made prior to the date those Cruise Miles were earned and you must notify us at the time of booking if you would like to redeem your Cruise Miles against that booking.
3.5 Cruise Miles can be redeemed on ‘booked on board’ bookings with our preferred cruise line partners once the cruise booking is officially logged as a booking on our system.
3.6 Cruise Miles cannot be redeemed against deposits and/or advance registrations.
3.7 Restrictions may apply where Cruise Miles cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other discount or discount voucher issued by us.
3.8 Cruise Miles cannot be exchanged for any monetary value other than against a new cruise booking with us.
3.9 Cruise Miles may not be redeemed against the booking on which they were earned.
3.10 A member must be a named traveller on a booking for their Cruise Miles to be redeemed on that booking.
4.1 In the event of a booking being cancelled, all Cruise Miles® earned for or redeemed on that booking will be adjusted as follows:
(a) if the booking is cancelled at 100% charges, all Cruise Miles earned for that booking will be kept by the customer, and all Cruise Miles redeemed on that booking will remain on the booking
(b) if the booking is cancelled at less than 100% charges, all Cruise Miles earned for that booking will be removed from the relevant Cruise Miles accounts, and all Cruise Miles redeemed on that booking will be credited back to the relevant Cruise Miles accounts.
5.1 We will send you a Recommend a Friend email to forward on to your friends. Your friends must register from the unique link in the email for your Cruise Miles® to be awarded, or manually enter your RAF Code when prompted to do so.
5.2 Your friend must be over 18 and a new customer to ROL Cruise.
5.3 You will be gifted 1,000 Cruise Miles for each of the first 5 friends who register with ROL Cruise using your RAF Code.
5.4 Further friends may register using your RAF Code but you will only be gifted for the first 5 friends who register, to a maximum of 5,000 Cruise Miles.
5.5 Gifted Cruise Miles will automatically be credited to your Cruise Miles account within 7 days of your friend registering.
5.6 RAF gifted Cruise Miles are non-transferable.
5.7 We may change or withdraw this offer at any time and without letting you know. New Customer
5.8 You must be over 18 and a new customer to ROL Cruise.
5.9 RAF Cruise Miles will be automatically gifted to your account within 7 days and will not be awarded in conjunction with any other new client Cruise Miles values on offer at the time of registration.
5.10 You must enter a valid RAF Code when registering or follow a legitimate link from your referral email.
5.11 RAF gifted Cruise Miles are non-transferable.
6.1 We reserve the right to:
(a) terminate any Cruise Miles® member’s membership at any time without notice if we reasonably believe that the member has acted in a way that harms the business. These actions include but are not limited to: illegal or fraudulent activities; hostile, abusive or aggressive behaviour towards staff; knowingly providing us with false or misleading information, or failure to comply with these terms and conditions.
(b) amend or terminate the Cruise Miles scheme, including the value of the Cruise Miles when redeemed and the number of Cruise Miles awarded for each £1 spent at any time upon reasonable notice.
(c) change any existing expiry dates on any Cruise Miles earned or gifted upon reasonable notice.
(d) add or remove additional preferred partners to the Cruise Miles scheme at any time.
(e) amend the terms and conditions of Cruise Miles at any time.
7.1 We will not pass on member’s details to any third parties (unless required to do so in the performance of this scheme or where the law either requires/allows us to do so) without your consent being obtained. By joining the Cruise Miles® scheme, claiming and/or spending Cruise Miles, you consent to our processing your personal data as follows: to implement and manage the Cruise Miles scheme and to provide you with marketing in relation to similar services provided by us if you have agreed to this in your marketing preferences.
8.1 We reserve the right to remove any duplicate Cruise Miles accounts and any associated gifted Cruise Miles awarded in duplication will be forfeited.
8.2 Cruise Miles balances can be accessed online at www.rolcruise.co.uk or by phoning 0800 121 6191 and may occasionally be found on marketing correspondence.
9.1 We cannot accept responsibility for any unauthorised spending of your Cruise Miles® balance, online or otherwise. It is your responsibility to ensure that all information relating to your Cruise Miles is securely stored, and redemption of your Cruise Miles is carried out securely and appropriately.
9.2 We accept no responsibility for the fraudulent use of a Cruise Miles account.
9.3 We shall have no liability for claims that arise from you not being able to access the scheme or our website or any interruption, or a failure to complete a transaction.
9.4 We shall have no liability to you for any liabilities you suffer which relate solely to any business undertaken by you.
9.5 Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury due to our negligence or any liability which is due to our fraud or any other liability which we are not permitted to exclude or limit as a matter of law.
9.6 Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit any of your statutory rights which may not be excluded or limited to you acting as a consumer. Any provision which would be void under any consumer protection legislation or other legislation shall to that extent, have no force or effect.
10.1 Any failure by us to comply with the terms and conditions due to any events outside of our reasonable control (force majeure), including but not limited to acts of God, war, civil commotion, explosion, flood, fire, labour disputes, malicious damage, riot, strikes, supplier delays, terrorism, earthquake, actions of government or any other event or incident, shall not be deemed a breach of these Cruise Miles® terms and conditions.

11.2 If we do not enforce a term of these terms and conditions straight away, this does not mean we cannot enforce such a term at a later date.
11.3 Each of the paragraphs of these terms and conditions operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
11.4 You may not assign your interest in the scheme or any contract with us without our written consent.
11.5 The scheme or any contract cannot be enforced by a person who is not a party to the scheme or any contract.
12.1 These terms and conditions are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of any disputes arising out of or in connection with your order, including any problems with the products, in the English courts. If you live in Scotland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.
