I am ready to book my flight seats, what do I do next?

Pre-booking your seats by Airline

British Airways

You can choose your seat for free 24 hours before departure when check-in opens. Any seat booked prior to this will incur a charge from BA (dependent on the executive Club level).

Virgin Atlantic

If you are flying in the Economy cabin, you can choose your free seat at check-in or any time for a fee. If you are flying in the Premium or Upper-Class cabins, you can choose your seat for free anytime. If you want to select a Preferred Seat or an Exit Row seat, these seats have an additional charge, and the price will show when you hover over them.

Delta

Your seat will not be assigned until after you check in to your flight. If your seat number does not appear on your boarding pass, your seat will be assigned at the gate before you board. 

Westjet

If you are flying in the Economy cabin, you can choose your seat for free at check-in, or at any time for a fee. If you are flying in the Premium or Business Class cabins, you can choose your seat for free at any time. Fees may apply for seat selection based on the fare purchased and the location of the seat on the aircraft. If you choose not to reserve a seat in advance, you can select a Standard seat for no fee* at the time of check-in.

Qantas

You can select your seat on Qantas-operated flights any time before you fly. The earlier you do so, the more choice you have. A charge may apply, depending on the seat type selected. 

Emirates

In Economy Class, it may be free to choose your seat in advance, or there could be an extra charge depending on the fare type or your Emirates Skywards membership tier. Emirates will automatically allocate you a seat free of charge if you have specific needs. For example, if you’re travelling with an infant or if you have medical requirements.

Singapore Airlines

Depending on your class of travel and fare type, you may enjoy complimentary advance seat selection or opt to pay a fee to select your seat in advance:

Suites, First Class or Business ClassYou’ll enjoy complimentary seat selection at any time.
Premium Economy ClassYou may select seats in advance for free. Or, if you wish to fly in greater comfort, you may select an Extra Legroom Seat for a fee.
Economy ClassDepending on the fare type you choose, you may select a seat in advance for free or a fee.

Etihad

Choose your seat with Etihad when you check in online with them. You may be able to pre-select your seat prior to checking in, however, there may be a charge.

Cathay Pacific

You can reserve a seat in advance for an additional fee or free of charge, depending on your Cathay member status.

American Airlines

The easiest way to choose your own seat is to visit the American Airlines website, aa.com, or their mobile app and choose your seat there (fees may apply).

United Airlines

You can choose a seat on the United app or via their website (fees may apply). If no seat assignments are available, you can check back closer to departure to see whether seats have become available.

Turkish Airlines

Choose your seat with Turkish Airlines when you check in online with them. You may be able to pre-select your seat prior to checking in, however, there may be a charge.

Qatar Airways

Choose your seat with Qatar Airlines when you check in online with them. You may be able to pre-select your seat prior to checking in, however, there may be a charge.

Iberia

To ensure you can sit in your favourite seat and guarantee greater availability, we offer advance seat selection when you make your booking for a small fee. You can also select your seat at a later time or even at the last minute when you get to the airport.

Malaysia Airlines

Choose your seat with Malaysia Airlines when you check in online with them. You may be able to pre-select your seat prior to checking in, however, there may be a charge. 

Air Canada

You can choose your seat for free from 24 hours before departure when check-in opens. Any seat booked prior to this will incur a charge from Air Canada.

Japan Airlines

You can choose your seat for free from 24 hours before departure when check-in opens. Any seat booked prior to this will incur a charge from Japan Airlines.

Air Tahiti Nui

You can choose your seat with the “A la carte Seating “ option. This fee based service enables you to travel alongside your travelling companions or select a seat offering greater comfort in Moana Economy class, subject to availability. Customers flying in Poerava Business Class and Moana Premium Class enjoy complimentary seating.

Latam Airlines

Seat selection may be free or have an extra fee, please contact the airline for further information.

Air China

Choose your seat with Air China when you check in online with them. You may be able to pre-select your seat prior to checking in, however, there may be a charge. 

KLM

You can choose a standard seat during check-in, at no additional cost. If you would like to ensure that your preferred seats is yours, or if you want a more comfortable seat, you can reserve a seat via My Trip (fees apply).

Air France

To provide you with the broadest possible choice, you can select your seat in advance, whether it is a Standard seat in the Economy cabin, a Premium seat in the Premium Economy cabin, or a Business seat in the Business cabin. 

This paid service is available on all flights.

Please note that you can also select your seat for free, depending on availability, when you book a flight in La Première, check in online (30 hours before your flight's departure), or at the airport in the Economy, Premium Economy, and Business cabins.

Lufthansa

You can choose a standard seat during check-in, at no additional cost. If you would like to ensure that your preferred seats is yours, or if you want a more comfortable seat, you can reserve a seat via My Bookings (fees apply).

Iceland Air

Choose your seat with Iceland Air when you check in online with them. You may be able to pre-select your seat prior to checking in; however, there may be a charge.

Easyjet

For EasyJet bookings, you must add your Advanced Passenger Information before you fly and check in online. You can pre-book seats as well as add extra luggage by logging in on their website using their booking reference number (Flight Locator).

Jet2

For Jet2 flights, you can log in using your reference and the details of the Lead Booker and manage seats, luggage, etc.
