Ambience’s accommodations are like home-from-home.
Inside Cabins provide a cosy space without windows, perfect for those who prefer to spend their time exploring the ship. Standard, Superior and Premium Inside Cabins offer flexible bed configurations (twin or double) with some rooms accommodating up to four guests. All inside cabins include en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee-making facilities, flat-screen TVs, personal safes, USB ports and UK three-pin electrical sockets.
Ideal for guests who want a window to the sea, Ocean View Cabins offer partial or full ocean views depending on the category (Standard, Superior or Premium). Along with all the amenities of Inside Cabins, Ocean View Cabins feature large picture windows or portholes. Premium Ocean View options provide even more space and can accommodate additional guests.
Balcony Cabins offer the luxury of a private balcony where you can enjoy the ocean breeze and stunning views. Located in prime areas of the ship, Premium Balcony Cabins include a double bed (convertible to twins), a private furnished balcony and a sofa bed for extra guests. Other amenities include a mini-fridge and a more spacious layout compared to Ocean View and Inside Cabins.
The most spacious and luxurious accommodation on Ambience, Suites are perfect for those seeking extra comfort and added perks. Junior Suites include a separate lounge area, double or twin beds and a sofa bed for extra guests. Added features like a minibar and upgraded bathroom facilities elevate the experience. Premium Suites boast expansive living areas and walk-in wardrobes and can accommodate up to four guests. You can also enjoy upgraded furnishings and added privacy. The pinnacle of luxury, the De Luxe Suites include separate bedrooms, a larger lounge area and exclusive perks like priority embarkation and complimentary treats. They also feature upgraded linens and access to premium services.
Activities
Enjoy a variety of activities on Ambience. Located in the heart of the ship’s impressive three-decked Centre Court, the Shopping Galleria offers a selection of duty-free items, including luxury goods, souvenirs and essentials. Also situated within the Centre Court, the Photo Gallery allows you to view and purchase professional photographs taken during your voyage.
Kapoor’s on Deck 6 is an arts and crafts centre that hosts workshops and classes, allowing you to explore your creative side through various hands-on activities. On cruises that last six nights or more, guests can learn new skills such as bead jewellery making, painting, mosaic decoration, calligraphy, and decorative card art. Opposite, you’ll find Aces & Eights, a bridge and card room where you can enjoy games like bridge or poker.
Named in honour of the literary Brontë sisters, Brontë’s Library on Deck 8 offers a curated selection of books, providing a quiet retreat. You can also join like-minded literature lovers for the cruise book club on cruises of six nights or more, discussing bestselling books in an open and informal setting.
Entertainment
There’s entertainment aplenty on Ambience.
The Palladium on Decks 7 and 8 hosts a variety of performances, including guest speakers, comedians and celebrity entertainers. The Palladium’s world-class storytelling will whisk you away to lands near and far, offering a captivating experience for all guests.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador Casino offers a selection of gaming options for guests seeking a bit of excitement. Whether you’re a seasoned player or trying your luck for the first time, the casino on Deck 6 provides a lively atmosphere for all. Situated poolside, the Big Screen on Deck 14 showcases movies and live sports events, allowing you to enjoy cinematic experiences or cheer for your favourite teams under the open sky.
Food & Drink
Ambience’s dining options are plentiful, with three complimentary restaurants and three speciality restaurants.
Located at the aft of Deck 7, Buckingham Restaurant is the main dining option onboard. You can head here for breakfast and lunch on an open-seating basis, whereas dinner is spread across two sittings, one for early birds and the other for late diners. On the menu, you can expect British favourites like fish and chips and cottage pie, and on formal nights (of which there are usually two during a seven-night sailing), you will be treated to an old-school Baked Alaska parade. Borough Market on Deck 12 is Ambience’s casual dining experience, where flavours from around the world come together. The buffet-style restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves British classics like fish and chips at the Salt & Vinegar station, Asian cuisine at the Points East station and vegan food at the Graze n Grains station. Scone lovers will be impressed to see afternoon tea served here daily with a choice of sandwiches, sweet and savoury scones and plenty of cakes.
Celebrate with one of Ambience’s speciality restaurants. Described by Ambassador Cruise Line as the ‘ultimate onboard culinary experience,’ Chef’s Table is a VIP multi-course dining experience specially created and hosted by the Executive Chef. Served in a private area of Buckingham Restaurant on Deck 7, the Chef’s Table experience begins with a glass of fizz and an amuse-bouche before heading down for a tour of the ship’s galley. The Chef’s Table hosts a minimum of 10 guests. On Deck 12, you’ll find Saffron. The menu, which is meticulously handcrafted by Ambience’s Executive Chef, allows guests to discover and enjoy the tastes, sights and flavours of South Asia. The journey begins with an herb-infused cleansing drink, followed by a starter, a main and a dessert, which is usually served alongside chai tea. Throughout your meal, the Saffron team will talk you through each dish, how it was prepared and how best to enjoy it. Sea & Grass offers a tasting journey across seven impressive courses. This premium fine dining option is for surf and turf lovers who wish to feast on dishes such as smoked duck breast pastrami with dates and orange or grilled seabass with garlic shrimp. Sip on a perfectly paired wine as you watch the talented chefs prepare your food from the open kitchen.
Unwind in one of Ambience’s many bars. Situated within Centre Court, Dickens is a cosy spot perfect for relaxing amid the ship’s bustling activities. With plush sofas and atmospheric lighting, Raffles Bar on Deck 7 is a great spot to finish the evening after taking in a show. If you’re lucky, you might see a fantastic pianist who will happily take requests. And if you’re still hungry after dinner, be sure to sample some of the late-night snacks that are handed out after 11 pm. The beautifully decorated Botanical Lounge on Deck 7 is a popular spot for pre-dinner cocktails, where guests are treated to classical tunes by the ship’s musicians. Inspired by the famed Wimbledon postcode, SW19 offers a sports bar atmosphere, perfect for catching live games or enjoying a casual drink in a lively setting.
No British cruise ship is complete without its local pub. The Purple Turtle Pub on Deck 8 really is the heart of Ambience, with activities that last from morning to night. The Observatory on Deck 14 is a stylish venue that hosts cabarets and late-night discos, offering panoramic views and a vibrant atmosphere for evening entertainment.
Relaxation & Fitness
Green Sea Spa on Deck 2 is a tranquil oasis offering a range of treatments aimed at rejuvenation and relaxation, including massages, facials and body therapies. Adjacent to the spa, the salon offers beauty services such as haircuts, styling, manicures and pedicures.
Equipped with modern exercise machines and free weights, the gym on Deck 2 caters to various fitness routines, allowing you to keep up with your workout schedule while at sea. Encircling Deck 14, the Jogger’s & Walker’s Track allows you to engage in jogging or walking while enjoying panoramic sea views. The Active Studio, also on Deck 14, is a versatile space that hosts fitness classes and wellness activities.
On Deck 12, you’ll find the Main Pool, surrounded by comfortable deck chairs and sun loungers, and the Relaxation Pool, which offers a quiet retreat. Adjacent to the pools, there are two hot tubs, offering a warm, bubbling sanctuary.
