View Cruise DealThe 622-passenger MS Kong Harald joined the Hurtigruten Coastal Express fleet in 1993. She is most loved for her port-intense itineraries.
True to its Norwegian heritage, the cabins on MS Kong Harald are comfortable and tastefully furnished. Enjoy the spectacular views and picturesque landscapes from the comfort of your own cabin with selected Outside, Arctic Superior or Suites. Inside cabins are modern and offer separate beds, providing excellent value for money if travelling with a friend.
Experience delicious authentic Norwegian cuisine and eat like a true local with Hurtigruten’s unique dining concept, Norway’s Coastal Kitchen. Guaranteeing seasonal fresh food from the local area, the talented chefs enjoy telling the story of the local area through their delicious dishes.
Choose from one of three restaurants; Torget, Brygga and Kysten. Torget, which is located on Deck 4, is MS Kong Harald’s main dining option offering breakfast lunch and dinner. Though predominantly presented as a buffet, Torget also operates a three-course meal on three nights of an 11-night cruise. Brygga on Deck 4 has more of a bistro feel which is reflected in the a la carte menu. Kysten, located on Deck 4, is MS Kong Harald’s fine dining offering which, as the name suggests (kysten means coast in Norwegian), has an emphasis on seafood. Here, you’ll find Hurtigruten’s famous king crab - a must-try!
The ever-changing Norwegian landscape remains the focal point of the voyage. Enjoy the spectacular views from the sun deck or wrap up warm and watch the vast night sky as it stretches above you.
Relax in the Explorer Lounge on Deck 7, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a panorama of the consistently breathtaking scenery that rolls out before the ship. By day, it is the perfect venue for losing yourself in a book or a game of cards while still taking in the scenery. At night, it becomes a favoured hangout with dimmed lights to ensure guests can keep an eye out for shooting stars or the majestic northern lights.
Depending on the itinerary, the crew have been known to treat guests to special, traditional ceremonies or dress up and recount mythical stories of the fjords. Memorable and exciting excursions are on offer at each port.
MS Kong Harald sails her guests to Europe.
