Originally built for Oceania Cruises in 1998, Insignia spent time cruising with Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, before returning to Oceania for a mass renovation which transformed her into an almost entirely new ship. In December 2018, Insignia went into dry-dock where she underwent another dramatic multi-million-dollar re-imagining process, as part of OceaniaNEXT.

During her most recent renovation, Insignia’s suites and staterooms were transformed into stylish, sanctuary-like spaces that encourage rest and relaxation. Whether you’re unwinding in your Oceanview Stateroom, admiring the breathtaking views from your private veranda or lounging in your luxurious suite, you can expect to experience the highest levels of comfort. No matter what your preferences, there is a suite or stateroom to suit everyone aboard Insignia. An Inside Stateroom is the most affordable accommodation option on board Oceania’s Insignia. This room type boasts an impressive 160 square feet of luxury, including Bulgari amenities, flat-screen television and 24-hour complimentary room service.
Ranging in size from 143 to 165-square-foot, there are several options available for those who prefer to gaze out to sea from the comfort of their stateroom. Oceanview Staterooms feature a classic porthole whilst Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms boast a picture window. Both room types have a comfortable seating area, vanity desk and refrigerated mini-bar. Both the Concierge Level Veranda and the Veranda Stateroom feature a beautiful private teak veranda, perfect for unwinding as you sail to your next destination. There are three suite categories available on Insignia including Owner’s Suite, Vista Suite and Penthouse Suite. Each suite is tastefully furnished and features a living area, private teak veranda and exclusive 24-hour Butler service.

Insignia is home to six incredible restaurants which all offer an impressive range of delectable dishes. Polo Grill and Toscana are the two speciality restaurants aboard Insignia. Both situated on Deck 10, Polo Grill is a classic steakhouse serving traditional beef dishes and succulent seafood options, whilst Toscana is an authentic Italian restaurant with recipes originating from the mothers and grandmothers of the Italian culinary staff. On Deck 5, you’ll find The Grand Dining Room which boasts an elegant ambience with Versace tablescapes, opulent furnishings and menus that change daily.
Insignia also offers more relaxed dining options, as well as an extensive Room Service menu which is available around the clock. Visit the inviting Terrace Café on Deck 9 which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with no reservations required or opt for lunchtime alfresco dining at the Waves Grill.

From world-class musical performances to trying your luck in the Casino, there’s plenty to keep guests entertained aboard Insignia. During the day, you might decide to spend your time browsing through the boutiques, listening to a fascinating guest speaker or getting lost in the world of a good book from the onboard library. You might also decide to stop by the chic Martinis on Deck 5 for your favourite cocktail, a rare vintage at The Grand Bar also on Deck 5 or dance the night away at Horizons on Deck 10.

Insignia sails her guests to South America, Central America, the Caribbean, North America, Africa and the Middle East, the Far East and Asia, the British Isles and Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and Australia and New Zealand.
