MS Nordkapp is named after one of the highlights of the Hurtigruten voyage, the northermost point of mainland Europe, the North Cape (71º N). It has attracted explorers since it was named by Richard Chancellor who was passing the cape in 1553 while searching for a Northeast passage. The ship was built in 1996, and on board you are surrounded by artworks from the renowned Norwegian artist, Karl Erik Harr.
